Saturday 19th June 2010 - Day 1

10:00 - GATES OPEN
10:15 - Day to commence with official opening
10:30 - Armour and Embarkation parade leaves for Dorchester
14:00 - Re-enactors Battle in the Battle Field

SCHOOL FIELD PROGRAMME
10:30 - Wessex Highlanders Pipe Band followed by Dickie Lines
11:00 - Evacuees march from the Railway Station to sing on the school field
12:00 - Greenford School Dance Display
12:30 - Punch and Judy
13:00 - Wessex Highlanders Pipe Band
14:30 - Dickie Lines
15:00 - School Jive Dance Display

10:45 - Weapons Demonstration
11:30 - UXB Demonstration
11:45 - Battle briefing for 'Objective Riley'

13:15 - Padre to address the troops on 'Pastoral care of troops'
13:30 - 'Stand To' for battle
14:45 - Ambulance and Field Hospital Demonstration (Field Hospital after the battle)
15:00 - Incapacitating the enemy 'All in fighting'
16:00 - All ranks dismiss

Saturday 19th June 2010 - 1940s Dance
doors open at 19:00

In the evening we will be presenting a 1940s dance featuring
The Sophie Garner Band
(20:30 and 21:45)

(19:30)
Entrance fee payable on the door £5.00 per head

Sunday 20th June 2010 - Day 2

09:45 - Re-enactors prepare for Parade
10:00 - Parade to the War Memorial
10:30 - REMEMBRANCE SERVICE at the War Memorial
14:00 - Re-enactors Battle in the Battle Field

12:30 - Evacuees WW2 Sing-a-long
13:00 - West Dorset Wind Band
15:30 - Dickie Lines

Throughout the weekend, both residents and visitors are encouraged to wear typical 1940/WWII fashion

We would like to encourage our visitors to join in the fun by dressing in period clothing or uniforms. Please do not wear German uniform or any Nazi paraphernalia as this may cause offence and you may not be permitted to enter the site. Do not bring weapons onto the site. Invited re-enactors representing many units and nationalities will be wearing their uniforms and carrying licensed weapons under strict control.
