Entry to Maiden Newton at War 2010 will be payable on the gate at a price of £7.00 per adult per day and £3.00 per child per day. A 'family rate' will be applied to family groups consisting of two parents with more than two children, this will be £20.00 per day. Children are 16 years of age or under and any child of four years of age or younger will be admitted free of charge. Visitors returning on the Sunday still wearing their entry wristband purchased on Saturday will be entitled to a reduced entry fee. Returning adults will be charged £5.00 and returning children will be charged £2.00. A return family rate will also be applied as described above at the rate of £14.00. There are no other concessions. There will be a separate charge for the entertainment on Saturday night which will be £5.00 per head on the door. The popular Friday evening entertainment will be free of charge but we will be taking a collection on the door for Help for Heroes A licensed BAR will be provided on both evenings and during the two days.Maiden Newton at War - The 1940s re-enactor event in Dorset
Throughout the weekend, both residents and visitors are encouraged to wear typical 1940/WWII fashion
We would like to encourage our visitors to join in the fun by dressing in period clothing or uniforms. Please do not wear German uniform or any Nazi paraphernalia as this may cause offence and you may not be permitted to enter the site. Do not bring weapons onto the site. Invited re-enactors representing many units and nationalities will be wearing their uniforms and carrying licensed weapons under strict control.
